Pink describes that the purpose of a pitch is to \u201coffer something so compelling that it begins a conversation, brings the other person in as a participant, and eventually arrives at an outcome that appeals to both of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Your first interaction with a prospective customer is essentially a pitch. Here are some suggestions inspired by Pink\u2019s insight that can help you think more strategically about your pitch so it makes a positive first impression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span style=\"color: #488ba6;\"><b>Tips for Creating a Winning Pitch <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/b><b> <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span style=\"color: #658c64;\"><b>1. <\/b><b>When crafting your pitch, ask yourself:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">What do I want them to know?<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">What do I want them to feel?<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">What do I want them to do?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p4\"><b><span style=\"color: #658c64;\">2. Reduce the essence of your services to one word or phrase that represents what\u2019s most important to pitch to your buyer.<\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Timely<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Beautiful<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Stellar service<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Dependable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">From there, you can frame and build the rest of your pitch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><b><span style=\"color: #658c64;\">3. Get creative!<\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Consider forming a rhyming pitch you can use in your marketing materials (business cards, website, email subject lines, flyers, etc.). Rhymes can make it easier for homeowners to remember you.
